Exciting News from the Ethiopian Pediatrics Society!

🌟 We are excited to share that the Ethiopian Pediatrics Society recently held a pivotal workshop on the research project titled "Implementation of a Suicidal Preventive Package Co-Created with Lived Experience Community Members in Ethiopia," in collaboration with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and Northwestern University. Held from March 5 to 7, 2025, this workshop brought together research teams from Gondar, Jimma, Haramaya, and Addis Ababa to raise awareness and adapt essential strategies for screening, safety planning, and psychiatric referral. By employing the ADAPT-ITT framework, we aim to promote collaboration, empower individuals with lived experiences, and lay the groundwork for sustainable mental health initiatives in our communities. Together, we are making strides towards a brighter future for our children.
